Kayela Mize, LMSW

I graduated from Saginaw Valley State University with my Master Degree in Social Work in May 2020. During college I provided therapy to children in their school setting and to adults in outpatient clinics. I have continued to provide therapy to adults since college addressing various mental health issues with a variety of interventions. I have specials interests in the following areas: anxiety perinatal/postpartum depression, grief, self-image and relationships. I value professional growth and enjoy learning new interventions.

I enjoy working for GLBHC because I love having that complete focus for client care in all areas and collaborating with all involved in my patients’ care. I have amazing colleagues and supervisors who make me smile.

I chose to go into therapy because over the years I saw how mental illness affected many people close to me.

I got married in September 2021 and we have 2 huskies and three cats who keep us very occupied. I love playing animal crossing and reading books in my spare time for my self-care, I also have a deep love for makeup and skin care. I love my family and value any family time that I get. I live my life always seeking to learn and to find happiness in any moment.
