Brandi Hannah’s Bio
My journey as a social worker has been wonderful so far. I’m Brandi Hannah LLBSW and have been a social worker since 2016. I wanted to be a social worker because, I knew I wanted to be that person that I needed when I was younger. Before coming to GLBHC, I worked at the Saginaw County Youth Protection Council after completing my internship there. I worked St. Rita’s House which provided resources and living arrangements for homeless teen mothers and their children. I started a case manager position at MPA Group which partnered with Saginaw Psych for a grant program under the Michigan Health Endowment fund to provide therapy and case management at Washington Elementary school for 3 years.. Happy to say Great Lakes Bay Health Centers picked up this program and I have been here 3 years after the grant ended. That makes this coming Fall my 7th school year at Washington Elementary School. Some of my strengths are; communication amongst broad groups of individuals, multi-tasking work jobs, active listening to clients and parents and providing empathy. The biggest populations of clients I serve are low socioeconomic status families. I love working at GLBHC because we work together as a team that truly wants to succeed. When I’m not at work, you can catch me hanging out with my family outside on the weekends.
